While weapons get most of the attention, armor is what keeps your team alive in TBH: Task Bar Hero. This guide ranks the best chest armor pieces by level bracket and explains how defense stats affect your survivability.

How Defense Works in TBH

Armor pieces provide base defense values that directly reduce incoming damage. Unlike weapons which stack additively, armor values follow diminishing returns — the first 50 defense points reduce damage more than the next 50. This means quality matters more than quantity.

Key defense stats on chest armor:

• Base Defense: Raw damage reduction from physical attacks
• HP Bonus: Flat or percentage HP increases
• Damage Absorption: Percentage-based reduction applied after defense
• HP Regeneration: Passive healing per second

Low Level Armor (1–25)

• Leather Breastplate — Common, Lv1, starter armor
• Iron Chestplate — Common, Lv15, first upgrade
