Gear Slots Explained

Task Bar Hero has 8 equipment slots. Here's what each one does:

• Weapon: Your main damage source. Sets base attack speed for the character.
• Shield (Offhand): Defense and block chance. Essential for tanks.
• Helm: Mixed stats — some give HP, others give offensive bonuses.
• Chest: Primary defense slot. Highest armor values in the game.
• Hands: Balance of attack and defense bonuses.
• Feet: Movement speed and minor defensive stats.
• Belt: Utility stats and HP bonuses.
• Accessory: Rings, amulets. Diverse stat bonuses including gold find.

Stats Explained

• Strength: +0.5% base weapon damage per point
• Intelligence: +0.2% attack speed per point
• Crit Chance: Base 5%, cap at 100% (diminishing returns after 75%)
• Crit Damage: Base 150% multiplier, increases with gear
• All Damage %: Flat percentage boost applied last in formula
• Defense: Reduces incoming physical damage

Best Starter Team (F2P)

Knight + Priest + Ranger is the universally recommended F2P starting team:

• Knight: Build full HP and Armor. Use Piercing Thrust and Shield Charge.
• Priest: Claim the free Priest DLC. Stack HP — she fights in melee range.
• Ranger: Prioritize Attack Speed > Crit Chance > Flat Damage.

Gear Rarity Tiers

Common → Uncommon → Rare → Legendary → Immortal → Arcana → Beyond → Celestial → Divine → Cosmic

Legendary+ items can be sold on the Steam Market. Immortal gear scales significantly better with upgrades than Legendary.

Pro Tips for Beginners

• Save Gold Chests until you hit a progression wall — gear level scales to your current max wave
• Never reroll a Legendary item more than 5 times — cost scaling makes it cheaper to farm a fresh drop
• Use auto-sell filters for Common/Uncommon gear before overnight AFK sessions
• Lock valuable items with Alt + Left Click before using Cube auto-fill
